Noted Smuggler Nabbed By Ferozepur Police

Ferozepur, May 19, 2017: Ferozepur police have arrested a noted drug peddler and have recovered one Pistol (.30 bore), seven round, 75 gram heroin, 3 Pakistani SIM cards and a cash of Rs. 27,50,000. Gaurav Garg, SSP, Ferozepur while giving information said that following the input, officials from CI staff led by Dharamvir Singh, SP (D), arrested one person identified as Sonu Singh, a resident of Village Nihale Wala during patrol near Village Kilche Wala. Sonu was going along with his brother Joginder Singh alias Shammi on his Mohindra Tractor. When both of them saw the police, they tried to escape. The police nabbed Sonu while his brother Joginder managed to escape. The police recovered one Pistol (.30 bore), seven round, 75 gram heroin, 3 Pakistani SIM cards and a cash of Rs.4 lakh from him. Later Rs.23,50,000 more were recovered from his residence.
A case was registered against the both the accused at Ferozepur Sadar police station.
SSP said that several cases under the NDPS Act have already been lodged against these two accused at various police stations. “Joginder was recently released on bail in one of the cases”, he further added.
“A hunt has been launched to nab the Joginder Singh alias Shammi and very soon he will be nabbed by the police”, said SSP.
