MPCC meeting held under the leadership of Ashok Chavan

Preparations for organisational elections to be held in Maharashtra discussed: Dewan
Ludhiana, July 8, 2017: In wake of the Organisational Elections in Mahrashtra, discussion were held for the preparations for the elections of members of Maharashtra Congress Committee, Block Chairman's and District Chief's under the leadership of MPCC president and Ex- CM Ashok Chavan.
In the meeting Rajasthan's Ex MP Mahesh Joshi (Returning Officer for Maharashtra) , Punjab Congress General Secretary Pawan Dewan (Returning Officer of Nagpur), some members of Punjab DRO ( Prof. Charan Singh and Satinder Pal Singh Gill) other members of working committee, MP's, Ex MP's , MLA's , Ex MLA's and other Senior Leaders were also present.

Dewan told the meeting was held in Mumbai to discuss the upcoming Organisational elections in Maharashtra. He informed that the voter list for these elections would be issued on August 6. Subsequent to this, on the dates selected by the AICC heads, elections would be conducted for selection of members, Block and District's heads. Dewan told this is an important step to make the Organisational structure of Congress stronger for the 2019 general elections wherein the party would bring in front of people the reality of anti-people policies of Narendra Modi Government.
Dewan was chosen as the Returning Officer of Nagpur for the Organisational Elections under the orders of Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi and AICC General Secretary Madhusudhan Mistri .
