Chandigarh, October 27, 2014: Surinder Talwar, the mother of Panjab University (PU) Fellow and Syndicate member Dr Dinesh Talwar passed away today after brief illness. She was 77.
The mortal remains of Talwar were cremated at the local Sector 25, cremation ground. Large number of people from different walks of life including a number of PU Fellows, teachers and staff members attended the cremation and paid homage to the departed soul.
Rasam Uthala would be held at Luxmi Naryana Mandir, Sector 20, Chandigarh on October 28, from 2 to 3 PM.
