More than 150 villagers registered for Aadhar Card in Central University of Haryana

Mahendragarh (Haryana), October 30, 2013:  More than 150 villagers of Jant and Pali (Mahendragarh District) villages were registered for Aadhar card on Wednesday in Central University of Haryana. Their photographs and fingerprints impressions along with their residential address verified from the documents were recorded by a team of Aadhar Card.

The Aadhar Cards will be delivered by the Unique Identification Authority (UID) of India in due course. A good number of ruralites turned out were waiting even after the scheduled time was over.

Dr. Pradeep Singh, Department of Law and convener of the activity said that the names of all those who came from nearby area but could not be served by the team after the completion of allotted time were registered in a separate register with a view to be called on some other day when their registration for the card will be carried out.

Inaugurating the camp the Dean Prof. Hemendra Chandalia, said that the Aadhar Card will enable the rural folks to make use of the benefits of various welfare schemes of the government, he said this data will be generated to help the government to formulate policies and developmental schemes for the people.

He said that the University will be making all out efforts to facilitate the villagers of Mahendragarh district and anywhere in obtaining the benefit of various schemes of the government besides making its own initiatives. Pradeep Singh, welcomed the guests and Vijay Kumar of the Department of Education explained the concept of Aadhar Card and Unique Identification number.

The programme was convened by Sonam and the Vote of thanks was proposed by Arun Kumar, President Students Council. The Camp was inaugurated by Bir Singh’s registration for Aadhar Card. Yogendra Sharma, Sanjay Tiwari, Dr. Vinay, Dr. A.P. Sharma, Dr. Anand Malik, Dr. Renu Yadav and Dr. VandanaYadav were present on the occasion. www.cityairnews.com
