Over 300 ex-students of various MBBS batches from the year 1964 to 2006 gathered with their families to get rejuvenated and reconnected with their batch mates and faculty members at an Annual Alumni Meet organised by DMC Alumni Committee on Sunday evening at Ludhiana.

Ludhiana, December 24, 2012: Over 300 ex-students of various MBBS batches from the year 1964 to 2006 gathered with their families to get rejuvenated and reconnected with their batch mates and faculty members at an Annual Alumni Meet organised by DMC Alumni Committee yesterday evening in a local hotel.

The dignitaries present on the occasion were Principal Dr Daljit Singh, Dean Academics Dr. Rajoo Singh Chhina,Former Principal of DMCH-Dr LS Chawla and Former Vice-Principal Dr Jagdeep Whig.

Medical Supdt.and Chairman of DMC Alumni Committee-Dr Ashwani Chudhary extended warm welcome to the dignitaries and alumni present on the occasion.In his message, Dr Chaudhary said that organizing of alumni meet provide us an opportunity to stay in touch with our alumni and also to ensure that our alumni feel connected irrespective of the physical boundaries.Morever, such meets provide a platform for all alumni to know the progress DMCH has made in the years from when they left the college,said Dr Chaudhary.

On the completion of their silver jubilee, the students of the MBBS (admission) batch of 1987 were felicitated during the meet. They were shown a presentation of their old memorable days and everyone present there got nostalgic about their days in DMCH. Some of the alumni took to stage to share their glorious days at the institute. The event was marked with speeches by the Alumni who shared their experiences, and all were unanimous in echoing their feelings that college has played a very vital role in shaping their destiny.

In his message, Secretary of DMCH Managing Society-Sh Prem Kumar Gupta, whodescribed the annual meet as a great and encouraging event and lauded the efforts of DMC Alumni Committee in organizing this meet

The Alumni Meet came to a close, with a proposed vote of thanks by the Organizing Secretary-Dr Rajinder K.Mittal, who informed that the alumni visited their alma mater during the day time and felt extremely happy abou the progress made by the institiution over the last few decades.
