The international school empowering global citizens is set in a lush 10 acre campus located within the sylvan 108 acre Chettinad Health City.
Chettinad– Sarvalokaa Education is authorised to offer the globally-renowned International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme (PYP). Ably guided by a team of experts with wide ranging experience in international education, the school provides a world class education to both day and residential students from multicultural and multinational backgrounds. Our experiential learning approach engages children in purposeful, real life projects which help develop compassionate, responsible global citizens who contribute towards a sustainable future.
The campus boasts an Olympic sized athletics track, cricket and football grounds, indoor badminton and basketball courts, tennis court, swimming pool and a well resourced learning centre.
Speaking at the launch, Mrs Geetha Muthiah, Director, said, “The school’s vision is to prepare children for the new millennium and nurture in them the skills and sensibilities required to create and live in a world that is nature friendly, peaceful and sustainable for future generations”. She further added that “Sarvalokaa wishes to shift the focus from ‘I’ the individual to ‘we’ the peers, to ‘us’ the community and ultimately to ‘ours’ - the world we share.”
Addressing the press, Tim Kellow, the School’s Principal, who has headed schools in West Africa and led projects on sustainability around the world, stated that it would be his endeavour “to take the school beyond mainstream approaches to incorporate holistic learning, leadership, global citizenship, environmental sustainability and other 21st century skills.”
Sharing the Group Chairman Mr M.A.M.R. Muthiah’s aspirations, Mr. Ashish Deb, Chief Operating Officer said the students of Sarvalokaa will go on to graduate from the finest international universities. He added that the Chettinad group at present serves more than 12,000 students annually in 12 educational institutions including private and Government-aided schools, polytechnic, engineering, medical and dental colleges spread across the state of Tamil Nadu.
The transdisciplinary and project based learning will help students of Sarvalokaa gain awareness about themselves, their place in the world, and sensitise them to contribute to the community, society and the world at large.
Dr Pascal Chazot a well known international educator and a former member of the French Parliament is among the notable advisors.
