Initiators of Change honoured with district level award 

Ludhiana: On the occasion of National Voters' Day, the District Election officer cum Deputy Commissioner Ludhiana on behalf of the election commission of India honoured Initiators of Change organization for their services and contributions to improve the Voter Turnout in the 2019 Lok Sabha Elections. The founder Chairman Gauravdeep Singh and Vice President Mithil Goyal received the award on the Organization's behalf.

Initiators of Change worked on creating voter awareness throughout the state in 2019 and reached out to over 2.5 Lac young voters and visited more than 50 institutions to ensure maximum voter turnout and informed voting.

About Initiators of Change

Initiators of Change is a Ludhiana based youth organization established in 2015 by Gauravdeep Singh with a vision to create Young energetic leaders for the country which are politically and socially aware. Doing this by working on their all round development with a formula of 4 A’s Arts, Athletics, Academics and awareness.  Initiators of change has been working with punjab Government, District Administrations of various districts and Municipal Corporation on various social projects related to youth development. The organization has successfully organized various youth conferences and Leadership seminars in various cities to create political awareness amongst the youth

Earlier in 2017 Punjab Assembly elections, the team started a campaign called I vote I Lead to make the youth aware about the power of vote and to take the youth voter percentage higher.  The team worked in collaboration with District election officer as the flag bearers of its SVEEP Activities. The campaign was marked as one of the most successful voter awareness campaigns in Punjab and the team was honored by District Electoral Officer Ludhiana and Chief Electoral Officer Punjab on National Voters Day 2017. The team reached out to more than 35000 youngsters in 3months and also made a national record for largest gathering of youth voter card holders at one place by inviting 7000 youngsters on 29th January 2017. This Record was recognized by India book of Records.

The Organization worked in Punjab and Delhi in association with the respective Chief Electoral Officers for the 2019 General Elections and reached out to more than 2 lac youth voters in both the states collectively.

The organization has also worked on a project named Kalam Rural Leadership Programme to work on the education and soft skills development in government schools of Punjab has adopted 11 government schools already.

Initiators of Change has been earlier at various platforms for working at such mass level for youth Voter awareness.

Founder of Initiators of Change Mr. Gauravdeep Singh has also been honored with National Youth Award 2015-16 By Government of India and Noble Asian of the Year 2018.
