Hindi Television Premiere of ‘Roadside Rowdy’ on Saturday

‘Rags-to-riches’ is a cliché formula in Indian Cinema. But what happens when a rich businessman’s life turns upside down and he ends up becoming a beggar? Zee Cinema, The World’s Largest Theatre For Hindi Movies presents the Hindi Television Premiere of Roadside Rowdy on Saturday, 3rd June at 9 PM. Directed by Sasi and one of the biggest all-time Tamil blockbusters of 2016, Roadside Rowdy stars Vijay Antony and Satna Titus in the lead. The film gives a sneak peek into the lives of beggars spent begging for a few coins to fill a hungry stomach. Physical challenges, mental sickness or simply destiny, whatever is the reason behind this situation, society usually shows no sensitivity. The movie also touches upon the heartfelt relationship between a mother and a son, a medical scam run by high-profile doctors and is a perfect mix of romance, comedy, drama and is replete with hard core action. The film revolves around Arul (Vijay Antony), who is blessed with a flourishing business backed by his mother Bhuvaneshwari (Dheepa Ramanujam). A freak accident lands his mother in a coma. After months of treatment, Arul loses all hope. But a Swamiji asks Arul to surrender his identity, wealth and securities and beg for a living for 48 days to save his mother’s life. Arul swallows his pride and gives up his lifestyle to start living as a beggar. He meets Magizhini (Satna Titus) and develops feelings for her. While in disguise, he also discovers a con scheme that is run by doctors in the city and decides to fight against it with the help of his beggar friends.
