Second consecutive year IDG’s CSO cites Genpact for security innovations that drive business value

Genpact (NYSE: G), a professional services firm focused on delivering digital transformation, is a recipient of the 2018 CSO50 Award from IDG's CSO, the premier content and community resource for chief security officers and other decision-makers.
The CSO50 Awards recognize 50 organizations for security initiatives that demonstrate excellence in innovation, enable new ways of improving companies’ security and risk posture, and deliver measureable results that drive business value. This is the second consecutive year Genpact has achieved this recognition. Genpact received the 2018 CSO50 Award for its Cyber Defense Center transformation initiative that took an innovative approach to revamp technology and processes for its cyber situational awareness, security intelligence, and response capabilities. Genpact won the 2017 CSO50 Award for its Data Loss Prevention 2.0 program that enhanced processes for securing confidential information.
“Amid the seemingly constant stream of news-making security breaches, vulnerabilities introduced by new technologies and increased attention from company boards, today's security leaders have their plates more than full," said Amy Bennett, executive editor, CSO. "They and their teams are charged not only with protecting their organization's critical systems and sensitive data, but with driving business results. Our annual CSO50 awards shine a light on projects that enhance an organization's security posture and also deliver measurable ROI. We are pleased to give them the recognition they deserve."
“Receiving this prestigious award underscores Genpact’s commitment to information security, and the strategic role its team and program play in advancing our clients’ digital transformation initiatives,” said Vidya Srinivasan, senior vice president, Information Technology, Infrastructure, and Enterprise Risk, Genpact. “By minimizing risks and providing world-class defense, we create competitive advantage for our clients.”
A panel of judges includes security leaders, industry experts, and academics. Genpact will accept its award at the CSO50 Conference and Awards held on February 26-28, 2018, at the Scottsdale Resort at McCormick Ranch in Scottsdale, Arizona.
