Chandigarh, June 19, 2017: In order to check preparedness and create awareness in library readers, a fire mock drill was conducted at A.C.Joshi Library, Panjab University, Chandigarh.
Approximately 500 readers and staff of library were evacuated from building in around four minutes time successfully.
After reviewing the outcome of mock drill exercise, certain suggestions were given by staff. Such exercises will be conducted in future at frequent intervals also.
