DGP condoles demise of Basketball Coach Ravinder Khajuria

JAMMU, APRIL 6, 2017: Director General of Police (DGP), Dr.S.P.Vaid has condoled the demise of departmental Basketball Coach, Mr. Ravinder Nath Khajuria of Armed Police, who expired recently.
In his condolence message, Dr.Vaid has said that Mr. Ravinder Kumar was an able, dedicated and professional qualified Basketball Coach-cum-Sportsman of Jammu and Kashmir Police. He was exceptionally outstanding departmental Coach and got laurels for the police organization in various national events during his long sports career. He said under his able leadership, J&K Police Basketall Team secured 4th place in the year 2004, besides the JKP team reached quarter finals for more than seven times at All India Police Championships. He said JKP has lost an outstanding sports person, who always looked forward to up-lift JKP Basketball team.
Dr. Vaid has expressed his solidarity with the bereaved family and prayed for the eternal peace to the departed soul.
Mr. Ravinder joined the department in the year 1980 and served in different Battalions of Armed Police and served as Coach of J&K Police Basketball Team and has distinction of being State Champion for the last more than 15 years.
