Sultanpur Lodhi/Kapurthala, July 2, 2017: Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Tayyab on Saturday conducted a tour of villages including Sawal and Sabuwal in the Sultanpur Lodhi area.
The agricultural lands in these villages were inundated with the rain water due to overflow of the drain water.
The deputy commissisosner reviewed the overall situation and directed Tehsildar Gurmeet Singh Mann, on the occasion, to ensure all necessary arrangements required to meet with the situation with help of the officers of Drainage Department and Public Works Department (PWD). He asked Tehsildar to redress the problem as soon as possible.
The deputy commissioner also interacted with the area residents and assured that every possible step would be taken to regress the problem.
Among others, PWD SDO Balbir Singh and JE Santokh Singh were present.
