CTIHM organizes the unexplored chef

Jalandhar, September 11, 2019: In order to explore the hidden talent of students of other disciplines, CT Institute of Hotel Management (CTIHM), Shahpur organized “The Unexplored Chef”. A total of 80 students registered for the first round where in all the students brought a dish cooked from their home which was adjudged by the expert panel of Chefs.
Out of these 80 students, 20 got qualified for the final round. In the final round, students were provided with a mystery ingredient which they were supposed to use in preparing a final dish. The mystery ingredients that were provided to them included Snake Gourd, Sago seeds, Rice, Semolina, Broccoli, Beetroot, Dark Chocolate, Yellow Lentil and Okra etc.
The final dishes were judged by Chef Ranvir, Executive Chef, and Hotel Ramada Encore Jalandhar. The top 3 winners remained Anuj Parmar of CT Institute of Architecture and Planning secured the first position and fetched the title of The Unexplored Chef as he is prepared Pan Fried Bottle Gourd served with Chili Garlic Dip and Carrot Mayo Dip. Rainu Banga of the same department stood second and prepared Stuffed Snake Gourd and Akansha Goel of CT Institute of Higher Studies bagged third position and prepared Semolina Dry Fruit Cake (prepared in Cooker).
Chef Ranvir appreciated the efforts of students and encouraged them to keep the passion of cooking alive by participating in similar events.
Manbir Singh, Managing Director, CT Group of Institutions and Dr. Bharat Kapoor, Director CTIHM congratulated all the winners and participants and also announced the season-II of The Unexplored Chef which will be held at Jalandhar level.
