Ludhiana, November 16, 2017: The Communist Party of India (CPI) paid homage and garlanded the statue of Kartar Singh Sarabha on his martyrdom day today with a pledge to defeat all sorts of efforts to bring in fascism in the country.
Addressing participants Dr Arun Mitra – Assistant Secretary cautioned that there is a concerted effort by the corporate sector and the religious fundamentalists to build the cult of Narinder Modi as messiah for all the ills. This is reminiscent of building Hitler and Mussolini in Germany and Italy in 1930s who were built and used by the contemporary corporate. But India, said Com D P Maur – Assistant Secretary while addressing, is a country with lot of diversity and the people of the country have been steeled in democracy. They have understood these machinations and would not allow murder of democracy in the country as is being done by the present rulers.
Com Ramesh Rattan – City Secretary and Gurnam Sidhu Assistant City Secretary said that the decision of demonetization by the prime minister bypassing the cabinet and the parliament, but in consultation with a few corporate houses is a reflection of centralization of power. Similarly the GST has led to economic anarchy in the country but the action are being eulogized in a Gobbelian propaganda manner. Others who addressed include Randhir Singh, Ramadhar, Kameshwar, Chamkaur Singh, Dr Gulzar Pandher, Lalit Kumar and Vijay Kumar.
