COW SLAUGHTER: Punjab Govt. to frame stringent laws

Ferozepur, November 21, 2012:  The Punjab Government will frame strict law to curb cow slaughter or torturing to book the culprits to check the crime, as their religious faith is attached since ancient time, said Kamal Sharma, political advisor to chief minister, Punjab while addressing the gathering, on the eve of Gopal Ashtami celebrated at Gopal Gaushala Ferozepur Cantt.

Kamal Sharma said, "In view of the incident of cow slaughtering at Mansa in the past, the chief minister, Punjab, Parkash Singh Badal has taken the decision to frame stringent law to stop cow slaughtering and torturing so that strict action is initiated against the offenders who indulge in this unsocial activity.

He also announced the financial assistance of Rs.50,000 to the Gopal Gaushala Ferozepur Cantt.

On this occasion, Jimmy Sandhu, BJP activists, Guaran Handa, Arwinder Sheena, Aman Main, Rakesh, president, Gaushala, Nand Kishore Googan, Sushil Gupta and others were present.
