Shimla, July 13, 2017: Strict action would be taken against the party cadre candidates involved in anti-party activities while remaining within the Congress party stated Chief Minister Shri Virbhadra Singh while addressing a public meeting at Shat in Manikaran valley of district Kullu.

He said that indiscipline within the party won't be tolerated and we were capable enough to oust such people out of the Congress party who try to damage the image of the party and involve themselves in anti-party activities.

Lashing out at the Opposition for halting development projects sanctioned for the state, the Chief Minister said he believes that the Union Health Minister was thinking to initiate work on All India Institute of Medical sciences (AIIMS) in Bilaspur only when BJP will come to power in the State which was a dream far away to be fulfilled. The state government has given adequate land for the same as desired by the Central Ministry and now the delay was on part of Union Health Ministry for the reason well known to the Union Health Minister.

He said the BJP was mistaken to form the government in the State, as for next many years they won't be able to return to power.

There were five medical colleges as of now in the state. The work of building of medical college at Hamirpur would be started as soon we get forest clearance. He said the State government has done so much in every field, including health, education, welfare and other sectors that the BJP was not able to digest it and was criticizing for the sake of criticism because they have no other work and were involved in mudslinging on their opponents.

The Chief Minister announced construction of a bridge across Parbati river from vegetable sub yard Shat to Pini-Banasha and road from Brehan (Channi-Rawad) to Bijli Mahadev. He announced upgrading of High School Shatt to GSSS, up-gradation of Government Primary School, Badogi to Middle School, opening of new Government Primary School at Ganakhla and up-gradation of Middle School Kasol to Government High School,

The Chief Minister assured to get the survey conducted for passenger rope-way from Barsheni, Kalra Glacier, Rudra Nag to Kheerganga and said that the demand for opening Bank branch of Kangra cooperative bank at Kasol would be examined.

He said that the sub-vegetable yard would be expanded in times to come. The government had developed such marketing yards at different places in each district which have facilitated the horticulturalists and farmers for sale and purchase of their produce.

He said that to boost agricultural related activities Rs. 321 crore crop diversification project was being implemented with help of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). Under Dr. Y.S.Parmar Kisan Swarojgaar yojna 85 percent subsidy was being provided for construction of poly-houses. For fencing of the fields and protection of crops from wild animals 60 percent assistance was being given to farmers under Mukhya Mantri Khet Sarankshan Yojna.

Earlier, the Chief Minister laid foundation stones of up-gradation of Chharor Nala-Badogi road to be constructed by incurring a sum of Rs. 4.95 crore, lift water supply scheme to Shillihar to cost Rs. 99 lakh to benefit a population of 2263 person and up-gradation of Chharor Nallah to Kashawari road to be constructed with a cost of Rs.4.93 crore.

Shri Virbhadra Singh also laid foundation stone of Rs. 2.86 crore lift water supply schemes Chong Shillihar, Bradha, Jari, Arkhali. This would benefit a population of more than 1000.

He also laid foundation stone of Hot Sulphur Bath the work on which would be initiated by Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation. He laid foundation stones of improvement of Rs. 1.98 crore Water Supply Scheme Talogi, Matarna and Trakada in Kharahal and improvement and construction of Kolibehar-Kaisdhar-Barahar- Dohranallah-Barogi road to cost Rs.9 crore.

The Chief Minister also inaugurated Rs.2.18 crore water supply scheme Lari-Manari-Deodhar. There are total four water supply schemes amounting to rupees 7.38 crore. He also inaugurated the sub-vegetable market yard at Shat completed with an outlay of Rs 1.28 crore.

Former Minister, Shri Satya Prakash Thakur thanked the Chief Minister for dedicating projects worth Rs. 36 crore. He said that the vegetable sub yard would benefit the people of nearby panchayats of the area and facilitate them for sale of their fruits and vegetables. He requested for upgrading High School Shat and a bridge across river Parbati from Shat to connect panchayats on opposite end.

General Secretary, HPCC Shri Sunder Singh Thakur, while addressing urged for creation of new development block Rupi at Bhuntar, besides upgradation of few schools. He also urged for branch of Kangra central co-operative bank at Kasol and excluding Manikaran -Kasol area out of Special Area Development Authority (SADA). He said that around 250 youth from the valley were given training in hotel management under Kaushal Vikas Nigam yojna and were given placement in good hotels in Kullu and Manikaran.

The valley was famous from tourism point of view and urged for passenger ropeway project from Bajoura-Kalga Glacier-Rudra Nag-Kheerganga. He said that local MLA Shri Maheshwar Singh completely failed to get the works done and just kept misleading the people.

Forest Minister Shri Thakur Singh Bharmouri, Secretary, HPCC, Shri Amit Bharmouri, Spokesman, HPCC Shri Bhuvneshwar Gaud, Chairman APMC, Kullu, Shri Upendra Kant Mishra, Member, Zila Parishad, Prem Lata Thakur, DCC, President Shri Budhi Singh, DCC, President, Mahila Congress Ms. Vidya Negi, BCC President Shri Uttam Sharma, President Hotelier Association, Manikaran Shri Kishan Thakur were also present on the occasion amongst others.
