CM announces IPH Sub Division at Jalog in Shimla Rural

Shimla, July 3, 2017: Chief Minister Shri Virbhadra Singh while addressing a public meeting at Banuna in Shimla Rural constituency today said that people should not discriminate in the name of development and should shun the feelings of indifference that a particular area of the constituency was witnessing more development and some other part was being left unattende as all parts of the constituency were being developed equally phase-wise. He said that Shimla Rural had witnessed unprecedented development, may it be in health sector, irrigation for education and as far as roads and buildings were concerned, there had been tremendous progress, he said.

Listing over all development of the area, he said that Rs.105 crore Garoh-Ghandal water supply scheme was on the verge of completion which would cater to 41 panchayats of the area and would soon be dedicated soon. Besides, work on another major water supply scheme from Pandoa Khud to gram panchayats Himri, Dhrogra, Bagri, Karyali, Domehar was starred in May 2017 on which a sum of Rs 20 crore was being spent. Work on water supply scheme Bagharoo khud to Khatnol for three panchayats of Chautha area phase-I and Nayaser- Dhar -Tikkar phase II for Neen and Ghaini Panchayat was under progress and a sum of rupees nine crore was being spent on this.

Apart from this, new Health sub centres have been opened at Kotla, Jalog, Okhroo and Dhalaya and the Health Sub Centre (HSC) which were recently upgraded were Khaira, Mandhorghat and Dharogra. Apart from this three Industrial Training Institutes have been opened at Dargi, Sunni and at Jalog. A college was made functional at 16 miles near Dhami and Fine Arts college has been opened and the building was under construction at Loharab the classes of which were started at Shimla. He also listed other developments in the area achieved during last four and a half years.

The Chief Minister said that development was a continuous process and it takes time to accomplish development works. He gave instruction for completion of Sunni bus stand within a month or two and said that a double storey building for high school at Sunni would be re-constructed.

He announced opening of IPH Sub-Division at Jalog, a meeting hall in GP, Himri and starting of science classes in Government Senior Secondary School Banuna. He also announced Manila Mandal Bhawan to be opened at Himri.

State Youth Congress President Shri Vikramaditya Singh while addressing the gathering said that the ITI at Jalog catered jobs to local youth in IPH and other departments. He said that Himri Panchayat had enough tourism potential and stated that the road from Himri to the famous Shali peak would be taken for forest clearance which would help boost tourism in times to come.

Irrigation and Public Health Minister Smt. Vidya Stokes, Block Congress President Shri Chandershekhar, Chairman, Panchayat Samiti, Basantpur, Shri Pradeep Verma, Secretary HPCC Ms. Kusum Verma, Pradhan Gram Panchayat Shri Jagdish Verma, General Secretary, BCC, Shimla Rural Shri Gopal Sharma, Block President Mahila Congress Ms. Anita Sharma were also present on the occasion amongst others.
