CBI convicts then Section Engineer in disproportionate assets case

New Delhi, Auguat 20, 2014: The Special Judge for CBI Cases, Bhopal has convicted  A.K.Dubey, the then Section Engineer (Path Way), WCR. Biaora, Distrist Rajgarh Under Section 13(2)r/w13(1)(e) of Prevention Of Corruption  Act, 1988 and sentenced him to undergo five years Rigorous Imprisonment with a fine of Rs.15 lakh.

The CBI had registered a case against the accused on the basis of complaint  by its Inspector.  It is alleged in the complaint that   A.K. Dubey while posted and functioning as Section Engineer (Path Way), WCR, Biaora, District Rajgarh amassed huge assets to the tune of Rs.15.18/-lakhs (approx.) during the period from 01/01/1994 to 11/04/2006, which were disproportionate to his known sources of income.

After completion of investigation, a charge sheet was filed on 26-05-.2007 U/s 7 & 13(2) r/w 13(1)(e) of PC Act, 1988 in the Court of Special Judge for CBI Cases, Bhopal against Shri A.K. Dubey, the then Section Engineer (P.Way), WCR, Biaora, District Rajgarh.

The Court found the accused person guilty and convicted him.
