AAP to fight coming MC elections of four Municipal Corporations in Punjab

Ludhiana, May 22, 2017: Aam Aadmi Party has launched the process of reconstruction of organisational structure from top to lower level and all the volunteers who had done excellent performance during the elections will be given suitable responsibilities in the party.
This was disclosed by AAP's Co-State President Aman Arora while addressing a meeting of party volunteers during his first visit to the city as a part of Party's programme 'AAP Apnyan Naal', at Party Office at near Main Bus Stand here last evening. He informed that party will be divided in four Zones i.e Malwa-1, Malwa-2, Majha and Doaba and further District, Constituency, Block and Village/ Ward levels Units were being set up.
He asserted that new appointments of office-bearers at all levels will be completed shortly with a view to gear up the party cadres.
Arora added that the party will fight the coming MC elections of four Municipal Corporations in State with full strength and has started the process of constituting the constituency wise screening committees for the selection of Party candidates in the four cities. He told them not to get disappointed from the below expectations performance of party in elections and claimed that the party first time fighting elections had won the status of opposition in Vidhan Sabha leaving behind old established SAD-BJP alliance.
The Co-President said that the New Congress Government in Punjab has miserably failed on all fronts and the law and order situation was worsening day by day. He also added that the people were feeling cheated, as no promise including waiving of farmers' debts, enhancing of old age pensions to Rs 2500, one job in each family, smart phones etc were met so far. He said that the number of suicides of disillusioned farmers' had increased in state and during 2 month of Capt Amarinder's rule more than 50 debt ridden farmers had committed suicides and the Govt was keeping mum.
He exhorted the volunteers to educate the people about the opportunistic politics of the traditional parties and the revolutionary programme of bringing a complete change in governing system of AAP.
Deputy Leader of Opposition Bibi Sarbhjit Kau speaking on the occasion said that the party will not allow the Congress Government to run away from the promises made with people in the elections and during the coming Vidhan Sabha Session , the party MLAs will raise a large number of issues relating to public problems.
Prominent who addressed the meeting included Darshan Singh Shankar, Suresh Goyal, Harjot Singh Bains, Ahbaab Singh Grewal, Daljit Singh Bhola Grewal and Jiwan Singh Sangowal.
Mr Amandeepb Singh Mohi, Ravinderpal Singh Pali, Mohan Singh Virk, Amrinder Singh Jassowal, Gurjit Singh Gill, Puneet Sahni, Mannu Sharma, Ravinderpal Kaur Chheena, Charanjit Singh Bulara, Neetu Vohra, Navneet Kaur, Satinder Satti and Harbans Kaur were also present.
