4,197 candidates appeared for entrance test for admission to B.A/B.Com. LL.B (Hons.) 5 Years Integrated Course in various institutes of PU

Chandigarh, May 21, 2017: As many as 4,197 candidates appeared today for the entrance test for admission to B.A/B.Com. LL.B (Hons.) Five Years Integrated Course in various institutes of Panjab University (PU), Chandigarh.

The entrance test was conducted smoothly and peacefully for the B.A/B.Com. LL.B (Hons.) Five Years Integrated Courses at the University Institute of Legal Studies (UILS) for PU Campus, Chandigarh and its Regional Centres at Hoshiarpur and Ludhiana. UILS, a constituent department of PU, has emerged as a premier Legal Institute of the region. The admissions for the B.A/B.Com. LL.B (Hons.) in PU are based on this entrance test and the marks in the Qualifying Examination (+2). Qualifying Examination (+2) and the Entrance Test marks each carries 50 percent weightage.

PU Controller of Examinations, Prof Parvinder Singh informed that 4,508 students had applied for entrance test and 93.10 percent of them appeared in the entrance test. 16centres were set up in Chandigarh to conduct the examination, he added.No unfair and unpleasant incident of any kind was reported from any quarter.Free e -rickshaws were provided at all the entry gates of PU.

Prof.Arun K Grover, Vice Chancellor; Prof Parvinder Singh, COE; Prof Ashwani Kaul, CUS; Col G S Chadha,Registrar and all the examination officers were available through out the period of exam and also visited the examination centres.
