Players in action during the 37th All India Women Railway Basketball Championship that commenced in Railway Coach Factory, Kapurthala on Wednesday.
Kapurthla/Jalandhar, November 6, 2013: The 37th All India Women Railway Basketball Championship commenced in Railway Coach Factory from today onwards.
The championship will conclude on November 10. According to VK Vij, Senior PRO, a total 9 Railway Basketball teams from all over India are participating in the championship.
Several International Players will show their power and talent in Basketball Championship. The teams have been divided into two groups.
The matches will be played on Round Robin League cum knock out state.
In the Inaugural match, which was played between South Eastern Central Railway Bilaspur and East Costal Railways Bhubaneswar the latter team won and defeated the former team majestically by 71-25.
Savita Aggarwal, Vice President, RCF Women’s Welfare Organisation was the Chief guest.
