2 arrested with fake currency

Ferozepur, October 13, 2012: The Counter Intelligence, Ferozepur staff has recovered fake currency from the two arrested persons.

 Stating this, DSP Sukhdev Singh Brar informed, under the supervision of ASI Tarlochan Singh, Counter Intelligence staff has recovered fake Indian currency of Rs.4,000 from the two persons arrested of Tarn Taran area.

He further stated, when on Friday evening when the police party of Counter Intelligence was doing a checking vehicles and  suspicious nature persons at the nakabandi near Hari Ke bridge, two Enfield motorcycle borne were searched on stopping them, fake Indian currency notes were recovered from them.  The recovered fake Indian currency notes were of the denomination of three notes of Rs.1,000 three and two Rs.500 notes.  The police has also taken into possession the motorcycle.  During the preliminary investigation, the arrested persons have identified their names as Manjit Singh alias Gagandeep Singh and Daljit Singh alias Lad of Tarn Taran District. The Makhu police have registered a case against the arrested persons and started further investigation in to the case.
