10 STUDENTS OF DAVIET SELECTED BY TOP MNC ST MICROELECTRONICS AT A PACKAGE OF 7.5 LAC

Jalandhar, June 23, 2017: International IT giant ST Microelectronics selected 10 DAVIET students from the branches of CSE and IT at a whopping Pay Packet of 7.5 Lac per annum. ST Microelectronics is a French-Italian multinational and is a leading electronics and semiconductor manufacturer. It is a leading Integrated Device Manufacturer serving all electronics segments. ST serves customers across the spectrum of electronics applications with innovative semiconductor solutions for Smart Driving and the Internet of Things.
ST has a unique and stringent work ethic wherein students are first recruited for an internship of 6 months and then the employees are hired. It seeks new talent and attracts potential so as to develop the engineering talent to cater to the needs of the corporate sector. To achieve the desired aim ST has developed quality relationship with DAVIET and will visit campus regularly for the next five years to recruit the interns. The drive conducted recently was for IT Services and Development. Another drive for the Department of Electronics and Communication is scheduled for the month of January.
The selected students Aastha Chadha, Abhinav Pathak, Abhishek Chadha, Akhil Bahl, Gundeep Singh Nagpal, Monika Sharma, Nikita Kapoor, Simranjot Kaur from the Department of Computer Science Engineering and Anishu from the Department of Information Technology shared that for the internship period of six months they will be provided a stipend of 21 thousand per month. The students had started preparing for the placement drive early and concentrated on developing their interpersonal skills along with the enhancing their knowledge about the core areas to crack the interview which is considered one of the toughest.
Mr. Sushil Prashar, Training and Placement Officer showed his happiness at the success of the students. He emphasized that the Institution is committed to provide students a chance to make a niche for themselves in the corporate sector. He shared that students are encouraged to working on their technical as well as interpersonal skills and special lectures and sessions are organized to hone their skills.
Dr. Manoj Kumar, Principal DAVIET congratulated the students on their success. He shared that DAVIET is the only Institution in the region in which ST has shown faith. It stands as a testimony to the academic standards prevalent in the Institution. He emphasized that the success of students proves that hard work when coupled with right guidance can take a student to the zenith of success. He stated that the DAV administration is committed to provide its students the best possible exposure so that they can make a mark for themselves. He also congratulated the Training & Placement Team who guided the students and urged them to keep up the good work.
